Ross Taylor's Brilliant Century put New Zealand on top on the first day of the 2nd test and the New Zealand ended up at 328/6 when the play was stopped due to bad light.Indian Spinners tried hard and got the breakthroughs at vital stages but New Zealand's Positive attitude puts them on top on the first day.Below is the full scorecard of the 1st day

Gears of war 4(judgement) story is going to be awesome!

This is one great news for god of war fans once again :).The writers behind the latest installment in the Gears of War franchise say they are excited about the story they have to tell. Tom Bissell, New Yorker contributor and author of Extra Lives: Why Video Games Matter, and Rob Auten, a Twentieth Century Fox consultant who worked on Avatar, spoke with Eurogamer about why they wanted to work on Gears of War: Judgment, and what they say makes it unique for the series
."We really tried to make this a character-driven game," Bissell said. "We actually tried to give [main characters Cole Train and Damon Baird] more moments to actually see them relate to each other as guys that really love each other and we worked really hard on making that connection something that's actually real."Bissell and Auten said they were attracted to work on the cover-based shooter prequel because the games appealed to their latent teenage sci-fi fan sensibilities within the context of a dark, interesting world. Bissell said simple foes like the locust afford the game more time to develop its protagonists.These moments are part and parcel with the game itself, the writers said."In this game the story is literally moving through the level. The story elements we're adding and cutscenes are the testimony moments and talking to the judge," Bissell said. "We're getting all of our storytelling juice into the moments that the player's actually playing." 

The game will be released on march 19th 2013 which is a long way away can hardly wait :(

God of war 4 coming soon?

I was just browsing around and found out that god of war 4 is coming soon???that's great news..some of you might have known this from a long time but i just found this out today.So Kratos will be returning to the PS3 for one more adventure. Sony released a teaser trailer showcasing the next entry in the franchise,which is said to be titled as God of War: Ascension.Sony also has confirmed this morning that
God of War: Ascension will take gamers "right back to where it all began." The game will let gamers "discover the origins of Kratos as he takes his first steps on a now legendary quest for freedom."The console maker also launched a product page for the game on its US PlayStation website, revealing a spring 2013 launch window. Additionally, the page notes Ascension is a one-player game, with the maximum number of online players listed as zero.So i have got another reason now to buy a ps3!!

IOS(Iphone OS) or Android or Blackberry or windows phone?

In this day and age where everything has become wireless the technology has come to such an extent that everything is turning wireless.What this has done is got a lot of innovation in by brilliant companies such as Apple,Android,blackberry and windows phone.When there are choices there is confusion and when there is a confusion we might end up buying something we might regret.The whole point here is to make sure you get the maximum performance for the budget you have.You do not want to spend more and end up finding out that most of the features you require in a phone is of no use to you.Lets compare these four companies and their uniqueness that might help you decide on which direction you can look into
 Windows Phone:

Microsoft has been a leader in developing the operating systems for computer for ages now.Almost all the companies,Individuals etc are using the windows operating systems and to be frank microsoft have done an excellent job in the market and have very less competition.When you speak about the windows phone its basically a  mobile operating system developed by Microsoft, and is the successor to its Windows Mobile platform, although incompatible with it. Unlike its predecessor, it is primarily aimed at the consumer market rather than the enterprise market.It was launched in the second half of 2010, with a release in Asia following in early 2011.With Windows Phone, Microsoft created a new user interface, featuring its design language called Metro. Additionally, the software is integrated with third party services and Microsoft services, and sets minimum requirements for the hardware on which it runs.

Advantages of owning  a windows phone:

• The Synch between your computer running a windows operating system and phone will be good.
• If you own an Xbox 360 you will have a good synch with the xbox live
• The look seems to be amazing

Disadvantages of owning a windows phone:

• Windows phone has known to be laggy in the past with its performance.
• Not too many applications are currently present to support windows phone.However this might change in the future

Blackberry:

Blackberry has been a phone which is favorite among the celebrities for a while now.It has really made its mark through the Blackberry messenger.This is one great feature introduced by blackberry to help people stay in touch.BlackBerry OS is a proprietary mobile operating system, developed by Research In Motion (RIM) for its BlackBerry line of smartphone handheld devices. The operating system provides multitasking and supports specialized input devices that have been adopted by RIM for use in its handhelds, particularly the trackwheel, trackball, and most recently, the trackpad and touchscreen.The BlackBerry platform is perhaps best known for its native support for corporate email, through MIDP 1.0 and, more recently, a subset of MIDP 2.0, which allows complete wireless activation and synchronization with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, or Novell GroupWise email, calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts, when used with BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Advantages of owning a blackberry

• This is one of the most secure phones ever.
• BBM makes speaking to your friends fun
• The look and the power of the phone is amazing

Disadvantages of owning a blackberry

• It can be very complicated to use at times
• Too much security sometimes causes hazzles
• Most of the time you will never be able to use all the features

Android:

This is a phone i personally own so i would be able to be a little more clear on this.android is a phone which is closest to the IOS.Android is a Linux-based operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It is developed by the Open Handset Alliance, led by Google.Google financially backed the initial developer of the software, Android Inc., and later purchased it in 2005. The unveiling of the Android distribution in 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 86 hardware, software, and telecommunication companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices.Google releases the Android code as open-source, under the Apache License.The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android.Android has a large community of developers writing applications ("apps") that extend the functionality of the devices. Developers write primarily in a customized version of Java.Apps can be downloaded from third-party sites or through online stores such as Google Play (formerly Android Market), the app store run by Google. In June 2012, there were more than 600,000 apps available for Android, and the estimated number of applications downloaded from Google Play was 20 billion.Android became the world’s leading smartphone platform at the end of 2010. For the first quarter of 2012, Android had a 59% smartphone market share worldwide At the half of 2012, there were 400 million devices activated and 1 million activations per day.Analysts point to the advantage to Android of being a multi-channel, multi-carrier OS.

Advantages of owning an Android:

• You get almost all the features at a very less price.
• The phone's performance is steady.
• Tons of applications available in the android market

Disadvantages of owning an Android:

• Touch screen calibration at times can be a problem.
• A few compatibility issues here and there.

IOS

One of the most preferred phones by everyone because of its performance and excellent design.iOS (previously iPhone OS) is a mobile operating system developed and distributed by Apple Inc. Originally released in 2007 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, it has been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPad and Apple TV. Unlike Microsoft's Windows CE (Windows Phone) and Google's Android, Apple does not license iOS for installation on non-Apple hardware. As of June 12, 2012, Apple's App Store contained more than 650,000 iOS applications, which have collectively been downloaded more than 30 billion times.It had a 23% share of the smartphone operating system units sold in the first quarter of 2012, behind only Google's Android.In June 2012, it accounted for 65% of mobile web data consumption (including use on both the iPod Touch and the iPad).At the half of 2012, there were 410 million devices activated.The user interface of iOS is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. Interface control elements consist of sliders, switches, and buttons. The response to user input is immediate and provides a fluid interface. Interaction with the OS includes gestures such as swipe, tap, pinch, and reverse pinch, all of which have specific definitions within the context of the iOS operating system and its multi-touch interface. Advantages of owning an IOS phone: 

• Excellent touch screen calibration.
• Tons of applications to choose from in apple store.
• Excellent for cloud computing and synching with apple computers.

Disadvantages of owning an IOS Phone:

• Quiet expensive at times !

A few Google Chrome tips and tricks you might not know

01. Google Chrome Browser Shortcuts:

       

The following are some useful shortcuts:

• Alt+F – Open the wrench menu (i.e chrome settings menu)
• Ctrl+J – Go to downloads window
• Ctrl+H – Go to history window
• Ctrl+Tab – Navigate Tabs
• Alt+Home – Go to home page
• Ctrl+U – View source code of the current page
• Ctrl+K – To search quickly in the address bar
• Ctrl+L – Highlights the URL in the address bar (use this to copy/paste the URL quickly)
• Ctrl+N – Open a new Chrome browser window
• Ctrl+Shift+N – Open a new incognito window (for private browsing)
• Ctrl+Shift+B – Toggle bookmark display
• Ctrl+W – Close the current Tab
• Alt+Left Arrow – Go to the previous page from your history
• Alt+Right Arrow – Go to the next page from your history
• Space bar – Scroll down the current web page

2. Displaying home button on google chrome

Google chrome doesn’t display the ‘Home’ button in the toolbar by default.Click on the ‘Wrench Icon’ on the right-hand corner of the browser to get to the “Customize” option for Chrome browser -> Preferences (or Options) -> Select the check-box for “Show home button in toolbar” This will now display the ‘Home’ button in front of the URL field. Click this button to go to your home page quickly.

3.Search made easy on google chrome

The URL address bar (also called as Omnibox in Chrome) in the Chrome browser is not only to enter your URL. Just type the keyword you want to search and press enter, which will perform a google search.
You can also perform calculations or conversions directly in the Omnibox. Try typing any one of the following in the URL address bar and press enter to see the results yourself.

4. incognito – Secret Mode

Incognito mode is for private browsing, where Chrome doesn’t record your browsing history, download history. Any cookies that are stored during the incognito mode is deleted when you close the browser.
You can launch incognito by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N, (or) Settings -> New incognito Window, (or) right mouse-click on a link from a regular Chrome session, and select “open link in incognito window”.
One of the practical use for this mode (apart from private browsing) is to login to the same site using two accounts.
For example, if you have two gmail accounts, login using the first account in your regular Chrome browser, and login using the second account in your Incognito mode on your Chrome browser. This way, you can be logged in to two gmail accounts at the same time on Chrome browser.

5. Reopen Recently Closed tab

If you’ve closed a tab by mistake, you can open it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + T, (or) right mouse-click on the empty area in the title-bar -> and select “Reopen closed tab” as shown below.

6.Chrome Commands

To get to the Menu on Google Chrome browser, click on the “Wrench” icon on the top right-hand corner. From here you can access certain browser features.However, there are several features that are not available from the Menu, which you can access only using the chrome:// commands. Some of the features are available under both Menu and chrome:// commands.Following are a few examples

• chrome://histograms
• chrome://memory
• chrome://cache
• chrome://dns

7. Task Manager on google chrome

Task manager displays the memory and CPU usage of the Chrome browser, broken down by each and every Tab. If you have multiple Tabs open, and when your system is slow, you can use task manager to identify which Tab is causing the issue.
Right click on empty space in the title bar and select “Task manager”, (or) Press Shift + escape key to launch it as shown below.

8. Specified Link Location tab

As you already know, when you right click on a link, and say “Open link in a new tab”, it opens it as a new tab (next to the current open tab).
However, if you want the link to be opened at a specific tab location, you can hold the link, drag it and drop it as a specific tab location. You’ll see a small arrow when you drag and drop the link. In the following example, I tried to drop the link at 2nd tab location.

09. Chrome settings transfer

If you are using multiple computers (at home, at work, etc.), you don’t need to worry about trying to setup the Chrome browser in the same way on all the computers you use. Instead, setup your bookmarks, extensions, themes, settings, etc, on your Chrome browser on one computer, and select “Sign in to Chrome” from the settings menu as shown below

10.Shortcut for the current tab

If you like to create a shortcut to the website that you are currently viewing, go to Customize -> Tools -> Create application shortcuts. This will ask you where you like to create the shortcut for this website, as shown below.

Little did we know during the time of Britney Spears that we will have someone like Kesha rocking the charts in the future.This glitter loving girl is currently a teen sensation with her carefree attitude and a voice along with the looks that i think resembles a bit like Britney Spears.One day while i was leaving for work and turned on the radio i heard a song tick tock even though some people consider the song tick tock lame i don't think its that bad.When we i think about my teenage i remember how i used to love the Britney Spears,Christina Aguilera etc.Kesha has definitely been a superhit this season and a few of her songs are too good to be missed.Check out a few of my favorite songs by Kesha..
