It is a scientifically proved fact that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.If there is good there is bad.If there is god there is devil.If there is devil there are of course demons.Today i will share with you a list of ten famous people who are believed to have sold their souls to the demons.

One of the greatest Violin player Nicolo Paganini was believed to have had made a pact with the devil to perform his technique with supernatural displays.Some of his viewers even confirmed that they saw the devil helping him while he was performing.Due to his association with the devil his body was denied a Catholic burial in Genoa.It took four years and an appeal to the pope before they finally put his body to rest.

During desperate times Gilles de Rais experimented with the occult under directions from a man named Francesco Prelati.Gilles was promised by Pretalti that he could help him regain his fortune by sacrificing the children to a demon called "Baron."During his killing Spree Gilles raped,tortured and murdered around 80 to 200 children.He was found guilty and executed by hanging and burning.

During the 1700s Jonathan Moulton was one of the wealthiest people.At one point his mansion built in poor puritan town burned to the ground.It was at this time it was believed that Moulton had made a pact with the devil to fill moulton's boots to brim with gold once a month in return for his soul.It is also said that Moulton tried deceiving the devil and placed his boots with soles cut off over a big hole on the ground.When the devil wondered why it was taking so long for the gold to fill he found out about the deception and wanted revenge.It is said that when Moulton died his body disappeared out of the coffin and was replaced by a box of coins stamped with the image of the devil.The location of the grave is unknown as Moultan's body was buried with no grave marker.

06.Father Urbain Grandier
Father Urbain Grandier was known to have sexual relationships with lots of woman and acquired a reputation of a philanderer. A group of nuns from the local Ursuline convent in 1632 accused him of bewitching them and sending the demon Asmodai along with others to commit evil and impudent acts with them. During his trial, after torturing the priest the judges introduced documents purportedly signed by Grandier and several demons as evidence that he had made a diabolical pact. The pact was written backwards in Latin and also included a signature from satan himself.
05.Giuseppe Tartini
A famous Italian composer and violinist had told french astronomer Jérôme Lalande that the devil appeared in his dream and asked him to be his servant and further in his dream during the end of he lesson tartini handed his violin to the devil to check his skills.The devil played with such virtuosity that tartini felt his breath being taken away.He woke up and immediately noted down the sonata desperately trying to recreate what he had heard in his dream.Despite people liking his sonata Tartini claimed that this was far from what he had actually heard in his dream and in his own words said “so inferior to what I had heard, that if I could have subsisted on other means, I would have broken my violin and abandoned music forever.”

A Famous influential writer named Cornelius Agrippa was a leader in feminist rights and always defended women who were accused of witchcraft.Three books on the occults were written by him which are still in use today.Agrippa was labeled a heretic and sentenced to death In 1535 however he managed to escaped but fell ill and died on his way home. After his death there were a few rumors that he had summoned demons.

A great American Blues musician Robert Johnson met the devil who gave him the mastery over the instrument by tuning his guitar. Johnson did not deny the rumors and infact to an extent accepted that he had infact made a deal with the devil.Johnson's death was controversial as some claim he was caught flirting with a married woman who offered him whiskey which was poisoned by her husband.The location of his grave is unknown as it is unmarked.

This is one of the most fascinating story as it is the story which is the oldest in regards ot the pacts with the devil.St. Theophilus was unanimously elected as a bishop but turned down the position due to humility.When the new Bishop unjustly deprived St Theophilus his existing position as archdeacon he sought out for a wizard to speak to Satan.In return Satan asked St. Theophilus to renounce Christ and the Virgin Mary in a contract signed with his own blood to which he agreed and the devil gave him the position of a bishop.A few years later ears later, Theophilus regretted his action and fearing his soul he prayed to the Virgin for forgiveness. After forty days virgin appeared to him and verbally chastised him.Mary promised to intercede with God as Theophilus begged for forgiveness. After he continued to fast for thirty more days Mary appeared to him again and he was granted Absolution. Satan however was unwilling to relinquish his hold over Theophilus, and it was a further three days before Theophilus awoke to find the damning contract on his chest. Theophilus took the contract to the legitimate bishop and confessed all that he had done. After the bishop burned the document.Theophilus expired, out of sheer joy of being free from the burden of his contract.
