WWE Smackdown on 01/03/2013 - Results and Review of the Show

The Friday Night Smackdown this week didn't impress much.The show every week proves how WWE Raw has always been more dominant over Smackdown.After last weeks show went off air the main focus of the WWE Smackdown on 01/03/2013 was on Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio feud which to be honest does not seem to be going anywhere at the moment.

The Friday Night Smackdown Supershow this week started off with a match between Alberto Del Rio and Damien Sandow.Team Hell No,Darren Young and Titus O'Neil,The Big Show,Randy Orton and The Miz were others who were also involved in various matches at WWE Smackdown on 01/03/2013 as well.

There were a couple of storyline segments at the Smackdown Supershow one of which showed Fandango cancelling his debut until Matt Striker could pronounce his name correctly which didn't happen during the show.

The second storyline involved Jim Ross make an attempt to interview Zeb Coulter and Jack Swagger who during the interview took a dig at the Oklahoma Sooners which didn't go well with the WWE Universe.They also went ahead to speak about Alberto Del Rio's English speaking skills which ended up in an argument and Swagger ended up smacking JR'S hat off his head.Alberto Del Rio eventually did come out to the ring to save the broadcaster and the segment ended much like last Week with Swagger-Del Rio Stare down.

Earlier during the WWE Smackdown show a match was announced between Randy Orton and The Big Show.Sheamus promised to have Orton's back during the match.The Shield then made its presence felt once again Surrounding the Smackdown ring waiting for the arrival of Sheamus to lay an attack.

After Orton and Sheamus were beat down  by the Shield,Roman Reigns got a KO from the Big Show which made Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins run for cover.Randy Orton was then Chokeslammed by the Big Show but Sheamus soon came in and planted a Brogue kick on the Big Show which ended with the result of the match as a no contest.

The highlight of the NME Awards show 2013 results for me was Amy Lee winning the hottest woman i have time and again said that she is undoubtedly one of the best looking music artists in the industry and the award to her does justice to just that.

God of War Ascension demo available through PSN

God Of War Ascension Demo is now available for download

The PlayStation exclusive third person action-adventure video game Series 'God Of War' is now about to release the fourth installment in a few days.As the anticipation of the video game gets higher the players are wondering what to expect from this one of the most anticipated ps3 games of 2013.The developers Santa Monica Studio have now gone ahead and released a God of War Ascension Demo to give the gamers a fair idea of what they can expect from the upcoming PS3 exclusive.The Demo will be available through the PlayStation Store as a free download.

The Story of the game is expected to be a  prequel to the original trilogy that will tell Kratos' origin story and is also expected to include a multiplayer addition  for up to eight players which will include a small story element

There have been quite a few good ps3 games that have been released since the launch of the PlayStation 3 console but God of War Saga definitely takes the cake as it has been one PlayStation 3 exclusive title that have not let the console down right from the 1st installment.

Apart from the Ps3 version  i remember playing the God of War PSP version which was fun to play.Especially the episode Chains of Olympus had some great graphics within the small screen of the PlayStation Portable.

With the New PS3 releases slowly dying down as we await the launch of Sony's next generation console 'PlayStation 4' it would be a good idea to preorder a copy if you own a PS3 as the next installment might end up releasing only on the PlayStation 4 console.

Another game from the PS3 new releases that really might make its mark before we really go into the next generation console is 'The Last of us' which is worth a look as well.

God of war Ascension Trailer:

A trailer of the game has also been released by developers which explains the backstory of the game and shows a few enemies players can expect during their single player campaign.

Gears of war judgement season pass adds permanent double XP

Gears of War Judgement Season Pass details announced

Microsoft's Xbox 360 exclusive Third-Person shooter Video Game Franchise 'Gears of War' is just a few days away from release of the latest installment Gears of War Judgement.With that being said Epic games have confirmed that the gamers who are willing to spend around 20$ for the VIP pass will receive a permanent double XP boost for multiplayer.

The fourth installment of this third person shooter has been one of the most anticipated Xbox 360 games of 2013 .The earlier games of the Franchise have done quite well.Gears of war pc version was initially released by Microsoft when the game first launched after which the other two installments of the games were Xbox 360 exclusives.

Multiplayer:

Gears of War Judgement Multiplayer will include:

• Gears of War Overun
• Free for all 

will be the two multiplayer modes available within the game.However the trademark feature of the series 'Down but Not Out'  will be unavailable which will result in the absence of executions.

The multiplayer features of season pass will include

• Six multiplayer maps
• Two new game modes
• Nine "exclusive" unlocks

The gamers who own the pass will also get early access to multiplayer maps and five weapon skins and four armor skins.

Gears of war Judgement Demo is expected to launch for the Xbox Live gold members on 19th March.It looks like the demo release might be a little too late considering the release date of the game in Australia and North America expected on the same date.

Story:

The Gears of war Judgement Story is expected to be unique and will be the first prequel.This will be the first game of the franchise that will not include Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the lead roles.The single player campaign will take players back to the immediate aftermath of Emergence Day and will revolve around the trial of the Kilo Squad, including Lt.Damon Baird and Pvt.Augustus Cole, who are accused of treason after a battle against the Locust in Halvo Bay.

As i said earlier the game will not include Marcus Phoenix and Dominic Santiago as lead.The gears of war Judgement characters included will be

• Lt. Damon Baird - The leader of Kilo Squad
• Pvt. Augustus "The Cole Train" Cole
• Sofia Hendrik - A Gear soldier who served in Kilo Squad
• Garron Paduk - A Gear soldier and a member of Kilo Squad

Looking at the Gear of war Judgement Trailer the game looks fantastic but i have a sneaky feeling that the absence of Marcus Phoenix and Dominic Santiago might hit the game hard.In either way its a good idea to get the game as Gears of War Judgement might be the last game of the franchise to release on Xbox 360 as Xbox 720 is more than likely to make its way to all the gamers around Christmas time.

Whatsapp for Blackberry 10 to release in March

WhatsApp for Blackberry 10 expected to be available from March

Blackberry recently announced their newest innovation 'Blackberry 10' based smartphones.The recent launch of their Blackberry Z10 Smartphone left many wondering for two reasons one was because of its steep price and the other was because of the unavailability of Whatsapp.That's not all a few days ago even instagram confirmed that they would not be offering a native app for Smartphones.Neeraj Arora from the WhatsApp team however put the speculations to rest confirming the Blackberry 10 based smartphones will be getting the WhatsApp application by March 2013

WhatsApp has further confirmed that they will be launching a native application for the smartphones.It will be interesting to see how the application gels with Blackberry's very own  messenger.

Until now the Blackberry messenger needed a data plan to work on but in the Blackberry 10 based smartphones it has been confirmed that the messenger would also work via Wifi as well which is a big releif

The Blackberry 10 needs to succeed for the developers to get back on track to compete with the big guns such as Apple and Samsung.The phone was recently launched and the prices are as per below

Blackberry Z10 Price:

• India - 43,490 Rupees
• Canada - $149 with a two year contract or an unlocked version would be available for $549.
• USA - $999 Contract-Free expected to be available soon.

Im not very sure about the Blackberry Z10 price in countries such as UK and Sri Lanka and the prices mentioned above are just estimates and not final.For exact pricing information please check with your local dealer.

With the Blackberry Z10 price being so steep it would have been nice if the WhatsApp for Blackberry 10 was ready before the release of the smartphone.

Assassins creed 4:Black Flag confirmed?

The release of Assassins Creed 4 has been confirmed

A while back we spoke about how Assassins Creed 4 might make its way next year.A little more light has now been shed on the rumor in regards to this super hit open world video game Franchise.Kotaku  have claimed that a source has confirmed that Assassins Creed 4 black flag is indeed in the makes.

 

The poster of the game shows the same hooded assassins wielding a pistol in one hand and a sword on another.By the looks of it the next installment of this open world action-adventure game might see a lot of piraty action within the game.

However the game will not be the first one to take place with major parts of its missions being within the seas as there were various missions within the seas in last years Assassin's Creed III as well

Earlier this month it was rumored that the fourth installment of the game was in the makes with a new hero and the release date is expected to be sometime in 2014.This tentatively confirms the rumors.

With so much coming in for the new assassins creed game  it is hard to believe that none of it will be true.Gamers who had a fantastic experience playing the previous game of the installment will find it hard to wait for this as this promises to be a feast.

Hopefully we will get to hear more from the developers soon and an exact release date of Assassins Creed 4 might not be too far away.

Microsoft might reveal Xbox 720 release date in April 2013

After Sony Revealed the Touch Screen feature in the controller of their next generation console PlayStation 4 the Xbox 720 release date announcement also does not look to be too far away.The Verge had recently reported that Microsoft will have a press event in April to announce more official details about the Xbox 720 console.

The Next gen consoles are the hype of the new year and many gamers have been anxiously waiting to know what they can expect from Xbox 720 as well as the PlayStation 4.

The story surrounding the event was confirmed by a few industry professionals who told CVG that Microsoft will announce the official Xbox 720 related news which might possibly also included release date in April.

Sony seems to have won a part of the battle in this next gen console war by catching Microsoft totally off guard with their announcement of the PlayStation 4 console.

Microsoft was not too far behind with their spokesperson  Larry Hryb taking a dig at the PlayStation 4 event via twitter stating that 'The Event was taking longer than expected' and 'Announcing the Console without actually showing the console is one approach'

The Sony PS4 is expected to make its way this holiday season with Xbox 720 not too far behind.Although no official details have been given by Microsoft yet the war of the next gen consoles shows two hell of a consoles ready to make their presence felt this year.

Triple H returns at WWE Raw on 25/02/2013

WWE Raw on 25/02/2013:Results,Review and HHH'S return

At last week's WWE Raw on 18/02/2013 we saw Vince McMahon promise a fight against Paul Heyman.The WWE Raw on 25/02/2013 started off with the show hyping about the McMahon-Heyman fight,The Rocks WWE Title and John Cena-CM Punk angle.

Vince McMahon made his way to the ring on crutches and said that everyone liked to do things in a big way and with WrestleMania was getting closer something big needed to happen every week at Raw.Vince further said he was ready to fight and called out Paul Heyman.

After Paul Heyman made his way to the ring he said that he was waiting to face Vince McMahon at WWE Raw on 25/02/2013. Heyman further said about how Vince has taken out every promoter in the business and said he is coming for everything Vince has got.In the ring Heyman tackled Vince and hit  his injured hip with one of Vince's Crutches.Vince McMahon recovered and hits Heyman from his crutches as well and knocked him out.After this Brock Lesnar's music hit and he came out towards the ring ready to fight McMahon.

As Brock Lesnar got set to attack Vince.Triple H’s music hits and he came out the ring Startling Lesnar.A fight starts off from there with Triple H and Brock Lesnar going all out.Lesnar seemed to have been busted open and eventually retreated and the segment ended with Triple H's music being played and Brock Lesnar checking his wound while going backstage.

During the next segment of the show another teaser of Fandago was shown.Zeb Coulter and Jack Swagger again spoke about how the people from the other side of the border enter their country and forget to leave if they fail.This upset  Alberto Del Rio who was also in the ring with The Miz at that time.Del Rio said that America is the greatest country on earth because it is a place for everyone and if Coulter had a problem with him he should have the balls to face him.

A small segment showed Sheamus making fun of Wade Barrett telling him how small Barrett's role in the upcoming movie 'dead man walking' was.Out came Barrett with a mic and after speaking for a bit Sheamus avoided a clothesline from Barrett and in the same way Barrett avoided the Brogue kick from Sheamus.

The Shield spoke about how nervous they have made every superstar at WWE Raw.They further spoke about how they dropped Chris Jericho,John Cena,Ryback and Sheamus.After this out came Sheamus and challenged them to fight him on stage.As Reigns and Ambrose started up the ramp Randy Orton came towards the ring and gave an RKO to Rollins and went through the crowd as they chanted his name.

A clip from Saturday Night's main event was shown which showed the return of Undertaker.Jerry Lawler further spoke about how this time every year there is a speculation of Undertaker's return to the grandest stage of them all 'Wrestlemania'.This Week's WWE Raw was also supposed to determine the No.1 contender to face The Rock at Wrestlemania.

India Vs Australia 2013 - 1st Test Results

India Vs Australia 2013:1st test - Results,Review and Statistical Highlights

The series has started off with a well deserved victory to the Indian Cricket team.Ravichandran Ashwin and MS Dhoni took the game away from the Aussies with both of them performing splendidly.The Australians did well in the first innings but looked like they lost momentum when MS Dhoni came into bat in the Indian first innings and took the match away from them.

Full Statistical Highlights of India Vs Australia 1st Test 2013:

The Australians won the toss and chose to bat and with the help of David Warner,Michael Clarke and Moises Henriques who made 59,130 and 68 respectively they were able to post a decent first innings total of 380 runs.

Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the Indian bowlers and dismantled the Australian batting picking up 7 wickets in the first innings.

The first innings of the Indian Batting didn't start of well as they lost early wickets and at one stage were at a score of 12 for 2.The partnership between Cheteshwar Pujara and Sachin Tendulkar who made 44 and 81 runs respectively got the innings back on track and were followed by brilliant innings by Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni making 107 and 224 runs respectively.Dhoni's Double century was the highest ever by an Indian Wicket Keeper.

The Australian Second innings started off roughly with them loosing wickets at regular intervals and Ravichandran Ashwin once again created havoc picking up 5 wickets and was well Supported by Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh who picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively.However by the time the Australian innings wrapped up they attained a lead of 49 runs and India needed 50 runs to win

In the second innings India once again lost both their openers and it was cheteshwar Pujara and Sachin Tendulkar who were not out at 8 and 13 runs respectively and won the match for India by 8 wickets.

MS Dhoni was adjudged the player of the match for his 224 runs in the first innings.

Oscar Awards 2013 Results

Oscar Awards 2013 was a movie awards function which was just as prestigious as Grammy Award 2013 was for music.At the show we saw some of the most beautiful actresses with their lovely dresses making their presence felt at the Oscar Awards 2013 results show.

When i saw the show most of the results were expected with the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence winning the Best Actress award for her fantastic performance in the silver linings playbook.

Argo also received multiple awards such as best picture,adapted screenplay and editing.Adele's Skyfall which was one of the best songs in recent times won the award for the best original song.

The highlight of the oscar awards 2013 results for me however was Brave winning the best animated movie award.I always thought Brave was a better animated movie in comparison to the other movies released.

Sucker Punch confirms Infamous 3 for PS4

Infamous which is known to be one of the best open world action-adventure PlayStation exclusive games to be produced by Sucker punch is now set to make its way on Sony's next generation console.Infamous 3 for PS4 was announced by the company during their event held on February 20 in New York.

The developers 'Sucker Punch' during the event unveiled to the fans what they can expect  from the super-powered, open-world series called Infamous: Second Son.

Cole MacGrath(previous protagonist) was a part of infamous his iconic lightning attacks.However the hero that was revealed in the launch trailer was more fiery personality. The trailer also seems to hint a much wider angle in the next game with many more super powered individuals making their presence felt.You can watch the trailer of Sony's upcoming action-adventure open world game for their next gen console here.

There was no mention of the release date of the game but expect infamous 3 for ps4 to be a feast considering this might end up being one of the first games to be released on Sony's next gen console.

The results of the third cricket test match between South Africa and Pakistan showed the proteas complete a whitewash over Pakistan by winning the series 3-0.After they won in the First and the second test convincingly this was no different as they won comfortably by an innings and 18 runs.

Statistical highlights of the South Africa Vs Pakistan 2013 3rd test

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat and made a total score of 409 which is to quite a degree a par score in test matches.AB De Villiers made a brilliant century making 121 runs and was well supported by Hashim Amla and Vernon Phillander who made 92 and 74 runs respectively.

Rahat Ali bowled splendidly picking up 6 wickets and was well supported by Ehsan Adil who picked up 2 wickets.Saeed Ajmal was wicketless but didn't give away too many runs when the South Africans were batting.

Pakistan's batting crumbled once again with them making just a score of 156 runs with only two batsman Imran Farhat and Younis Khan maiking a score of 30 or more.They made 30 and 33 runs respectively.

Kyle Abbott was the pick of the bowlers picking up 7 wickets on his debut.He definitely had a dream debut and troubled the Pakistan batsman throughout their innings.

Pakistan's batting in second innings crumbled once again with a wicket falling of the first ball.This time it was Imran Farhat,Asad Shafiq and Saeed Ajmal who got respectable individual scores of 43,40 and 31 and showed some resilience.

Dale Steyn was back to his own self picking up wickets in the second innings and restricting Pakistan to to help South Africa win by an innings and 18 runs.Looking at the way he bowled it looked like the results of a South Africa win were expected.

New Final Fantasy for PS4 in development

 A New Final Fantasy PS4 game soon

Final fantasy was a superhit games in many genres such as tactical role-playing, action role-playing, massively multiplayer online role-playing, racing, third-person shooter, fighting, and rhythm.The video game produced by Square Enix will now be making its way to the next generation console 'PlayStation 4' soon.

Shinji Hashimoto(Final Fantasy Brand Director) announced this during Sony PlayStation 4 event that was held on February 7th in New York.

No further details were revealed by Hashimoto apart from him asking the fans to be excited for E3 this year.

Agni's Philosophy technology demo was showed off by Square Enix
from last year as well.

Square Enix are hoping to create video games that do well in the next generation consoles and with the new Final Fantasy being one of their best franchise there couldn't be a better game to release for the PS4.

Facebook for iOS app now includes free calling

Facebook for iOS now allows free calling support in USA and Canada

The worlds most popular social networking website continues to add unique features within their smartphone applications.This time the pioneers of social networking have included an option where the users can make free calls to friends via Facebook for iOS application through their iOS devices.

The updated apption for the iOS devices allows users to see when their friends are online and gives them an additional option to call them by tapping on their name.The feature however is currently limited to USA and Canada only.

The Calls made by users are routed via the Internet through data plans or via Wi-Fi hotspots.A feature of this version was introduced earlier the year.The addition in the Facebook for iOS app was an option to "like" content and post comments to the social networking site.

•A button to re-post stories is now available in all languages
• Free calling (US and Canad only)

Sony unveils touch screen enabled PS4 controller

PS4 controller will be touch screen enabled

The season of Next gen gaming consoles is just getting heated up.Sony at their recent event announced that the PS4 controller would be DualShock 4 Touch screen and will also include a share button.The share button will allow players to capture gameplay videos and share it within the gaming community.

The Share feature will also enable players to stream their gaming in real time via internet streaming such as UStream.Apart from streaming players would also be able to upload video game videos on Facebook.

Features of dual shock within the PS4 controller

The Dual Shock addition in the PlayStation 4 will include a New six-axis sensor along with a light bar which will include three color LEDs that will illuminate to match the color of characters in a game to identify other players.The light bar will also provide players with information while gaming such as when the health of a character is low.

The other notable feature of the PS4 controller is a built-in speaker and stereo headset jack.This will give gamers a chance to chat with friends while playing online.It was also confirmed that the PlayStation Eye camera for the gaming console will include a new camera.Through the new camera the players will be able to log in to the video game console through  face recognition.

With so many features incorporated within Sony's PlayStation 4 console it does not look like the company can go wrong.How the console actually turns out to be is something we will have to wait and see.Hopefully apart from the PS4 controller there will be other noticeable improvements within the console itself.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown started off with Ricardo Rodriguez and Alberto Del Rio talking about how bad Jack Swagger's attitude is.As they were speaking about it Randy Orton soon interrupted who said

he does not like Jack Swagger either as swagger stole the WWE Elimination Chamber match from him.Looking at the events Booker T announced a match between Randy Orton-Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio-Wade Barrett for little later on at WWE Smackdown on 22/02/2013

The other segment showed Zeb Coulter having an intense conversation with Jack Swagger backstage.Where this angle is heading is something we will have to wait and see as it does not look to be too thrilling to me.

Moving on,A segment showed Wade Barrett making fun of Sheamus for loosing to The Shield.Dead man walking movie trailer was also shown at WWE smackdown on 22/02/2013.

There was another teaser of Fandango which was shown at WWE Friday Night Smackdown on 22/02/2013.It would be very interesting to see when he actually has a debut and what plans WWE has for him considering how weak Smackdown is compared to Raw.

The show's end came with Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger staring each other down after Del Rio successfully won his match against Wade Barrett.

Sony PS4 release date might be in November

The Much awaited and anticipated console from Sony might be making its way in November for 430$ as per a few sources who spoke to Kotaku.Another Model of the console is expected to be available for around $530.However there is a possibility of the second model of the console selling for $400 dollars upon launch which will be confirmed at the event.

It has also been claimed that through the Sony PlayStation 4 consoles players will be able to control their consoles remotely via a tablet or a smartphone.

Just like Xbox Live it has now been confirmed that PlayStation 4 console will require a mandatory premium subscription to access online features.A name change is also in the works where the PlayStation Plus will be renamed to PlayStation World.

Other speculations apart from PS4 release date are:

• That the PS4 unit will ship with a PlayStation Eye
• A feature will allow players to watch others playing the game without actually being in the game. 
• The Sony PlayStation 4 Console will also support local network play through the PlayStation Vita. 
• A new image of the PS4 controller has also been the rounds around the internet.

After Xbox 360 dominated the gaming market upon launch Sony will be raring to go with the launch of their PS4 console.Analysts and industry insiders are confident that the event on Wednesday will be devoted to the PlayStation 4.The company is also expected to announce a few PlayStation 4 exclusive games to lure gamers towards the console.

Far Cry 3 Patch adds multiplayer tweak and difficulty mode

Far Cry 3 was one of the best open world first-person shooter video game that released in 2012.I think Ubisoft did a great job in getting the franchise back on track because of the mixed  reviews the second installment of the game recieved.Ubisoft have now confirmed that the Far Cry 3 patch will be released with a lot of tweaks and improvements.

Far Cry 3 Patch Inclusion:

The details of what to expect from the patch that will be released by Ubisoft include

• A new difficulty mode
• Ability to reset outposts in the single-player campaign
• Numerous multiplayer tweaks. 

Ubisoft has not confirmed the release date yet but from what is known the players who have conquered all outposts will be given an option to reset the quest from the gameplay menu.Even the incomplete portion of the quest can be reset afterthe update

The wildlife portion of the game will be made more aggressive with the pirates tougher when the players choose the master difficulty.The game developers are also adding a few tweaks for the multiplayer portion of the game.

Multiplayer tweaks within the Far Cry 3 Patch:

• Easier to give feedback on maps
• Create a beta map playlist 
• skip map voting system. 

The Far Cry 3 updates such as these will make the game even more better to play.Hopefully there will be an official announcement of the release date of the Far Cry 3 Patch.

Amazing Spiderman for WII U to release March 5

Amazing Spiderman will make its way to the WII U console next month

WII U console owners who love the Spiderman Franchise will be happy to know that the comic book and movie adapted video game 'The Amazing Spiderman' will be making its presence felt on the console next month.

This third person,open world,action,adventure video game which stars Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey might do a lot better in the WII U version as i feel the developers might have worked out on a few flaws which existed within the release of the game in earlier platforms.

Amazing Spiderman ultimate edition Launch Date and price:

• March 5th in North America
• March 8th in Europe

The WII U version of the video game will be available for $40 at launch and will include four on-disc expansions.

Expansions on Amazing Spiderman included in four disc expansions:

• Stan Lee Adventure Pack
• The Lizard Rampage Pack
• The Rhino Challenge
• Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack.

Apart from the game WII U users will be able to use the gamepad as an "Oscorp OsPhone," which will allow players to access the cell phone within the game for accepting new challenges,navigating the city, and managing upgrades.Off screen play will also be supported. 

As in the movie the game will allow the players to freely explore Manhattan as he fights his way through hordes of enemies and solves a few puzzles along the missions.

Initially The Amazing Spiderman Review saw mixed reactions among PC gamers because of a few problems with low framerates within the game.The game did a little better on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.

Thankfully for the PC Gamers there is a solution to fix the lag or low frame rates by going through a very simple method.You can check out my article of how to fix the low framerates in The Amazing Spiderman to get the details of the fix.

There is no official announcement regarding The Amazing Spiderman 2 Video game but if it does release i hope the franchise does justice to the PC Version of the game.

The Rock's celebration at WWE Raw on 18/02/2013

WWE Raw on 18/02/2013:Results,Review and The Rock's Celebration

The WWE Raw on 18/02/2013 kicked off with a recap from the Elimination Chamber 2013 Pay Per View.John Cena was the first superstar to make his way to the ring to address the WWE universe.Cena said that the 'road to wrestlemania' was heating up and spoke about the Jack Swagger against Alberto Del Rio and him against The Rock wrestling match scheduled for Wrestlemania 29.

CM Punk made his way to the ring to let John Cena know that he was finding an easy way out.Punk further went on to say that The Rock should not be the champion as he laid hands on the referee and should have been disqualified then and there.After a bit of an argument CM Punk eventually said that Cena has never beaten him to which Cena said he needs to shut up his critics and has a solution for it.John Cena then proposed a match between himself  and CM Punk and the winner will meet The Rock at wrestlemania.The match is set for next week.

A Backstage segment at WWE Raw on 18/02/2013 showed Ryback and Sheamus in an interview with Matt Striker about their loss to the Shield at the Elimination Chamber.As Sheamus was talking about the match and letting everyone down Ryback was pacing around when Sheamus stopped him and asked him to overcome and adapt and also asked Ryback it he was a machine or a neanderthal to which Ryback caught the collar of sheamus only to be broken up by Chris Jericho who said rather than being upset amongst themselves they should be upset with The Shield.

Chris Jericho said that he loves the WWE and cannot see it to be dominated by Shield just like NWO and nexus did earlier.He said he will speak to Vickie Guerrero to setup a match between himself,Sheamus and Ryback against the Shield.

Another Backstage segment from WWE Raw on 18/02/2013 showed Daniel Bryan speaking to the Kane and telling him that he was not too happy with teaming up with him last night at the Elimination Chamber.He went on further to say that he has a match with Jack Swagger tonight and does not want Kane to be at the ring to which Kane responded that he will get his own match and does not want Bryan to be at the ring.

Kane also said he does not deal well with snakes after which Randy Orton appeared and asked if someone was speaking about him.Kane spoke about Stomping the snakes to which Randy Orton said that there was a time he was intiminated by Kane and he is more like Barney the Dinosaur these days.

Vickie Guerrero was speaking on the phone backstage and said she had major plans for Raw this week.She also congratulated Heyman for the stipulation he set for The Rock-CM Punk match at the elimination Chamber.Vickie further said that she had an announcement that will change Heyman's whole career but was saving the announcement for the ring.

The next segment showed Swagger having a state union address where he was accompanied by Zeb Coulter who after speaking a little trash confirmed that Jack Swagger will beat Alberto Del Rio for the championship at WWE Wrestlemania 29.

After a short break Vickie Guerrero was in the ring with Paul Heyman where she was about to make an announcement regarding Heyman's future.She said she had a new assistant for herself and out came Brad maddox.Further down the segment Vince McMahon also appeared in the titan tron and told Heyman he will wrestle him next week.

The final and the main segment at WWE Raw on 18/02/2013 was The Rock's Celebration of winning the WWE title once again.During this segment there was a podium setup in the ring with the new wwe title belt.

The rock started his segment by hyping the arena and further went on to say that he has deep respect for the WWE title but it should no longer be a toy and should not spin.He introduces the New WWE title and gives the old one to one of the crew members and asks them to make sure it ends up in the hall of fame.

Further during the Rock's segment at WWE Raw on 18/02/2013 he spoke about CM Punk,John Cena and wrestlemania before he was interrupted by John Cena's music who was attacked from the back by CM Punk who threw the old belt in between the ramp.As The Rock was getting ready to fight Punk he went back and the show went off air with Cena down on the ramp.

Angry Birds Cartoon series set for a spring release

The Angry Birds franchise has become a massive hit within a span of  few years and is expected to be stronger than ever with the release of Angry Birds Cartoon.

The release of the first edition of the video game franchise for the Apple iOS operating system was appreciated by people of all ages.The Angry Birds Cartoon show might just be an icing on the cake for Rovio.

The video game franchise was also released for the Android,Symbian and windows phones and did quite well.Even though the gameplay on the smartphones is quite simple the game's comic style where you need to use the birds to hurt the pigs as a form of revenge for them stealing their eggs is filled with entertainment.

Apart from the initial release the company went on to release other versions such as Angry Birds Rio,star Wars,Space and seasons.Along with the mobile versions you can also play angry birds free via Facebook.

However the beauty of the franchise is that its not just limited to the Angry Birds Cartoon and the game alone.There are themed cups,pillow covers,Back covers of mobile phones,T Shirts,Books which are also available for purchase in the market and they have been doing quite well.The theme park based on the game is also expected to open in China during the Chinese new year in February 2014.

Rovio CEO Mikael Hed  has also confirmed that the company is looking to for a long term future within the franchise.He also confirmed that the Angry Birds cartoon series is expected to be as good as the timeless classics like The Road Runner and Pink Panther and will be remembered by people for years to come.

I am not quite sure what we can expect from the Angry Birds Cartoon but looking at the popularity of the game it might do well.So it would come as no surprise if the cartoon series also turns out to be a hit.

Before the company confirmed about the Angry Birds Cartoon series they had also worked on a couple of puzzle games which were of similar style namely Amazing Alex and Bad Piggies.Amazing Alex is a simple enough to play and complete but Bad Piggies requires a bit of puzzle solving before you can go ahead and complete the levels.

 

Even though it looks like Angry Birds Cartoon might look to be the end of the franchise there is a very good possibility that the finish game developers will make a comeback to the franchise with something.

The Rock retains championship at WWE Elimination Chamber on 17/02/2013

WWE Elimination Chamber on 17/02/2013:The Rock retains Championship,The Shield shock the WWE universe with defeat over Cena,Sheamus and Ryback

The PPV started off with a bang with highlights from Smackdown on 15/02/2013 where The Rock called out CM punk to get back his title which was stolen from him.

The pre show of the WWE Elimination Chamber on 17/02/2013 had a match scheduled between Tensai and Brodus Clay.Initially while coming to the ring Tensai didn't look in the mood for dancing but after the match was won by Tensai and Brodus clay he eventually did loosen up a bit started dancing.

A preview of Elimination Chamber and the matches which were supposed to take place were shown.Dolph Ziggler sadly did not cash in his Money in the bank brief case during the Pay Per view.

There were quite a few shockers during the show such as The Shield defeating John Cena,Sheamus and Ryback which is the biggest upset in the WWE in the recent history.

Elimination Chamber match is always fun to see but the physical damage the wrestlers go through is really immense.The Chamber match saw all the wrestlers give it their all and take a lot of damage to the body.The match resulted in Jack Swagger winning to become the Number 1 Contender for the WWE Championship.

I kind of had a feeling that Mark Henry might become the number 1 contender for the WWE championship but it was not to be.

Dolph Ziggler against Kofi Kingston saw Ziggler win the match courtesy of  Zigzag as Kofi Kingston's loosing streak continued.

Kaitlyn Vs Tamina was another shocker for me as i expected Tamina to defeat Kaitlyn but that as not to be as Kaityn regained championship.

Finally,The Rock Vs CM Punk match was the main event at WWE Elimination Chamber on 17/02/2013. The odds were against Rock's Favor as he could lose the championship even if he was disqualified.

The Rock eventually did retain the WWE Championship much to the delight of the World Wrestling entertainment Universe.

So i guess this proves it John Cena Vs The Rock 1 was not once in a lifetime we are heading into Wrestlemania with John Ccena Vs The Rock II.

 I was a bit disappointed with the results of WWE elimination chamber on 17/02/2013.I can understand that The Shield might be getting a bigger push soon but i dont think this should have been at the expense of them winning against the big stars such as John Cena,Ryback and Sheamus.It would have been nice if there were a few surprises added to the show as well such as Brock Lesnar,HHH or maybe even Fandango making his way.There is no doubt that the World Wrestling entertainment has been one of the best television shows and have proved it time and time again so i am guessing WWE is holding on to all the Surprises for WWE Wrestlemania in April.

South Vs Pakistan 2013 2nd Test:Results,Review and Statistical highlights

The second test match of South Africa Vs Pakistan 2013 ended with South Africa winning by Four wickets.Even though the Pakistan team showed great resilience making a comeback in the first innings from a very tough position of 33 for 4 to reach a score of 338 the South African Cricket team really gave a tough fight and deserved a victory.

Statistical Highlights of South Africa Vs Pakistan 2013 2nd test:

South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl and were in a commanding position when the Pakistan team was at a score of 33 for four in the first innings.However Younis Khan and  Asad Shaqid batted splendidly with both making a score of 111 runs.South African bowling struggled a bit with these two batsman but apart from these two no one was even able to get a start.In either case Pakistan got to a score of 338 runs in their first innings which was quite a respectable total.Vernon Philander was phenomenal picking up 5 wickets.

When South Africa came into bat they were ok until Saeed Ajmal came into bowl.The inital 5 wickets were taken by him which got South Africa reeling at a score of 109 for 5.AB De villiers and Robin Peterson then steadied the ship making 61 and 84 runs respectively taking the South African first innings total to 326.As i said earlier the bowling was dominated by Saeed Ajmal taking 6 wickets for the Pakistan team.Mohammed Irfan was also impressive on his debut taking 3 wickets.

Pakistan in their second innings had a horrible start once again with both the openers Mohammed Hafeez and Naseer Jamshed failing once again.At one stage they were at a score of 45 for 3.Azhar Ali and Misbah-Ul-Haq steadied the ship this time around making 65 and 44 respectively.After they both were out the Pakistan team crumbled to a score of 169 runs setting up a target of 182 for South Africa to win.Dale Steyn,Vernon Philander and Robin Peterson were the pick of the bowlers picking up 3,4 and 3 wickets respecting.

South African second innings saw them in a spot of bother when they lost Jaques Kallis at a score of 88 but AB De villiers and Hashim Amla made 36 and 58 runs respectively and made sure they laid the foundation for the South Africans to win comfortably by 4 wickets.

Robin Peterson was the match of the match for his 84 in the first innings and 3 wickets in the second innings.

The beta version is not available for download at the Google Playstore(Formerly known as Android market)however you can download it at the official  website of the developers.

Unlike many other applications whatsapp has constantly provided updates for its messaging application and is loved and used by millions of people around the world and is slowly in the process of taking over the role of SMS which has ruled the smartphones for quite a few years now.

Apart from text messaging the other features of whatsapp on android include Pictures,video,audio and photo sharing.The best part about the application is that it does not include any advertisement and costs only $0.99 as a yearly subscription charge.The application can be downloaded on Windows,Ios and Blackberry smartphones.

Crysis 3 Multiplayer 'Beta' has already clocked 3 million downloads upon Launch

Crysis 3 release is just around the corner and the first person shooter is already in the news for clocking 3 million downloads for its recently released multiplayer 'Beta'.

The Crysis 3 Multiplayer 'Beta' released on January 28th for the Xbox 360,PlayStation 3 and PC and has been making news since then with over 3 million downloads worldwide,as announced by Electronic arts today.Electronic arts also went ahead to confirm that the sales of the game were up by 35 percent in comparison to Crysis 2.


The multiplayer aspect of the video game shown in the beta version didn't look too shabby and was fun to play.Even though i found a few glitches here and there i am sure they will improve when the game has completed development.

In the last decade the Crysis series is undoubtedly one of the best action game to have been produced.The power ups,guns and cars in the game look unique in comparison to other shooter games i have played.

Microsoft and Sony are on the verge of announcing the official details of their next gen consoles and it would be interesting to see how the Crysis 4 will perform in the next gen consoles as the graphics of the game have always been very demanding and the next gen consoles might just give it a boost.

The Crysis 3 is developed on the new Cryengine 3 system and is expected to be very demanding with graphics and to have a good display while playing get ready to get a better graphics card.

The Crysis 3 Mutliplayer gameplay looks fun and i hope the single player campaign within the game will not disappoint either.

The Video game is expected to release on February 19th for PC,Xbox 360 and PS3.

Next gen consoles might not be backwards compatible

We are very close to the release of the Next gen consoles which are expected to unleash a whole new form of graphics while gaming.The Microsoft Xbox 720 and Sony PlayStation 4 consoles are very close to being officially announced for a release.

The Next gen console graphics is something to look up to as the graphics part of the console has been beefed up to give a crystal clear display in High Definition and guarantees to feast the gamers with a lot of pleasing eye candy.

The multiplayer within the next gen consoles is also expected to be a great feast but from what is known not too many might like a console that mostly works with a proper internet connection throughout.I hope this is a rumor as not everyone would like being online all the time if they are not playing multiplayer video games.

Blake Jorgensen(EA Chief Financial officer) while speaking in a Q&A for Golden Sachs technology stated that he does not think that the upcoming gaming consoles will be backwards compatible.He further stated that the multiplayer aspect in the next gen gaming consoles might not allow gamers having different generation consoles to play against each other.

There are still a few doubts of what to expect from the PlayStation 4 controller as it was earlier said that the controller will include LCD Touch screen but was later denied.

The YouTube PS3 app which was announced recently might just be giving a hint that the PS4 might be good on the application front as well.

As far as the Xbox 720 console is concerned we will have to wait and watch what it has to offer in regards to video streaming as the Xbox 360 consoles were not too good as far as Blue ray video streaming was concerned.The apps within the console were pretty OK.

The release date,Joystick and all the other official technical features in regards to the next generation consoles by Sony might be revealed on February 20 when they have an event in New York.

The only downside i have heard until now about the Next gen consoles is its backward compatibility.I dont think gamers would appreciate having to change consoles if they need to play the games released for a different generation.
