Full Statistical Highlights of the West Indies Vs Australia T20 on 13/02/2013

Cricket portrait of a batsman playing a shot
West Indies won the toss and chose to bat but got an early setback after Chris Gayle got dismissed.Johnson Charles and Darren Bravo steadied the ship making 57(35) and 32(27) runs respectively. The innings got a correct finishing touch with Kieron Pollard making 26 runs of just 17 balls to boost their target to 191.

Australian bowling today was below the mark with the exception of James Faulkner who picked up 3 wickets for 28 runs.No Mitchell Starc didn't help them either.

Australian Batting started off gingerly with Aaron Finch falling when the score on the board was just 5.Things did steady up with Adam Voges making 51 runs of 33 balls but besides him everyone got starts but no one was able to capitalize.

West Indies bowling as usual was led by Sunil Narine who picked up 2 wickets of just 19 runs and Kieron Pollard who picked up 3 wickets for 30 runs.

Kieron Pollard won the man of the match but Johnson Charles 50 was the highlight for me as this gave the West Indies a good foundation to reach an unachievable target.

Darren Samy will be very happy with his team as he had said just before the match that they need to play like champions and then sure did.
