Lightning strike at St. Peter's Basilica proves gods existance?

Lightning Strike at St. Peter's Basilica after Pope Resignation

Lightning
This might just be another reason to believe that god does exist. When Pope Benedict XVI shocked the world by his announcement of resignation a footage from Monday evening showed the top of St Peter's Basilica struck by lightning during a severe thunderstorm over the Vatican. The Lightning Strike at St. Peter's Basilica might just be gods way of showing a sign.

The video showed the sky being lit up before there was a lightning strike at St. Peter's Basilica.

The news of resignation was a shock to the world as this has been the first time in over 700 years.Pope Benedict XVI in his resignation said that he did not have the physical or the mental strength to carry on.

While the news itself was alarming to many the lightning strike at St. Peter's Basilica suggests that the gods also seemed to be quite surprised.

In the past there have been many instances where something unexpected has happened through nature trying to give us a clue which we don't understand. What we can understand is that god cannot come down to show his emotions and the lightning strike at St. Peter's Basilica might just be his own way of showing a reaction

Of course, this is just my point of view as i firmly believe that god does exist and looks over us.What do you think about the lightning strike at St. Peter's Basilica?Do you think it was an act of god or just a mere coincidence?
