Dale Steyn Bowling too hot to handle for Pakistan in 1st test
There is absolutely not doubt that Dale Steyn is the best if not one of the best bowlers around the world in the cricket teams from around the world.
It was not surprising at all when no batsman from Pakistan were able to handle his speed and precision while bowling.
Dale Steyn throughout this test match pitched the ball in the right places and got a well deserved rewards for his hard work.
This was undoubtedly one of the best swing bowling spells i have ever seen in test cricket.His release of the ball along with the speed was perfect in this test match.
The bowlers from Pakistan did not perform as well as i expected.Especially Junaid Khan,as he was the one bowler i was looking forward to trouble the Proteas.
South Africa in the 1st innings made a score of 253 which looked very less but while chasing the score Pakistan again looked vulnerable and things went so out of hand in the first innings that they were bowled out to their lowest score ever making just 49 Runs.
This gave South African team already a healthy lead and when they batted in the second innings they pushed their lead to 479.Setting a target of 480 for Pakistan to win which looked improbable.
In reply Pakistan were bundled out for 268 and the Proteas started the series with a very healthy win of 211 Runs.
Dale Steyn who was the highlight of the match picked up 6 wickets in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second making it 11 wickets in the test match. Other notable performances were by AB De villiers who made 103 and Hashim Amla who made 74 Runs in the second innings.
They now lead the three match test series 1-0.
