Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 release date expected to be in 2013

Activision have confirmed the launch of their new COD MW game in 2013. The news in regards to the new game of the franchise which might be named as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 was announced by the company during the post-earnings financial call.Eric Hirshberg(Publishing CEO) also said that the new release might not do as well as their last super hit Black ops 2

The CEO also stated that they will need to work harder towards the future games as there is going to be a

console transition soon.

The game however is not officially given a name yet and is expected to launch in Activision's fourth quarter between October-December. The release of the next gen consoles are also expected to be around the same time which might make this game to be a part of the next generation consoles as well.

If rumors are to be believed the next game of the series will be called as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.

With the last installment of MW failing to impress gamers Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 might just turn things around as it is likely this will end up releasing on the next generation consoles as well.

Sony and Microsoft will be announcing a few details regarding their much awaited next generation consoles during the end of the month.
