The first one day international (ODI) cricket match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh held on 23/03/2013 started with the home team (Sri Lanka) winning the toss and electing to field.The first ODI was fun to watch with both the teams giving their best and the deserving team winning in the end.Even though there were a few interruptions in the match i am sure those who would have watched it would have been entertained to a great level.

The first one day international cricket match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh held on 23/03/2013 saw Bangladesh doing a decent job after they were put into bat.Tamim Iqbal's splendid 112(136) and Nasir Hossain's superb 73 (59) not out were the highlights of their batting which helped them reach a score of 259 in their allocated 50 overs.
Sri Lankans bowled well in patches and were a bit disappointing.The highlights of their bowling was Lasith Malinga,Angelo matthews who picked up two wickets each and Nuwan Kulasekara,Thisara Perera and Sachithra Senanayake picking up one wicket each.
After the dinner break the match was delayed due to a power failure and started a little late.The home team had a revised target as per the duckward lewis system,they now had to make 238 runs from 41 overs.
When the Sri Lankans came into bat,they never looked in any spot of bother and the results of a home team win looked eminent.They eventually did win comfortably 8 wickets with 32 balls remaining and ended at a final score of 238 for the loss of 2 wickets.Tillakaratne Dilshan was the highlight of the Sri Lankan batting after he was not out at a score of 113 (108).The Bangladesh bowling was not up to the mark as almost all their bowlers gave away a lot of runs.Sohag Gazi and Rubel Hossain were the only highlight of the Bangladesh bowling as they picked up a wicket of Kushal Perera and Kumar Sangkkara who made 42 and 63 runs respectively
