Electronic Art's one of the Pioneers in gaming industry with their massive hit Battlefield 3 have confirmed that the game's premium service has now hit 1.3 million users until June 30, But the profit and revenue shrank slightly in comparison to last year.

- Battlefield 3's Premium subscription service's expanded from the 800,000 within the first two weeks.
- President of EA Labels Frank Gibeau said new Premium purchases brought in $37 million in revenue for the month of June alone.
- The Origin download service reached 21 million subscribers, in comparison to Steam's 41 million.
- Star Wars: The Old Republic's was also announced which is an upcoming tiered free-to-play system and set its projected total revenue for its current fiscal year at $3.9-$4.05 billion.
