Microsoft have confirmed to IGN that the facebook and twitter application within the Xbox 360 will be removed after the upcoming mandatory update which is being rolled out.
It was assumed this was done to get the gamers to use internet explorer on their console. This was not denied by the company either as they stated the removal was just a part of their effort to "streamline" app functionality for Xbox 360.
Microsoft announced this week that the latest Xbox 360 dashboard update is beginning to roll out. The update is believed to be pushed on a global scale from October 23.
