Internet Explorer starts rolling out for Xbox 360

Internet Explorer

An announcement has been made that an update to the Xbox 360 dashboard which will mark the beginning of some exciting stuff on the biggest screen in the house is about to be rolled out.

It has been confirmed that the Internet Explorer has finally made its way to the Xbox360 console.

The update will be rolled out from today and will be available to all the Xbox Live Gold Members. The Internet explorer on Xbox will enable users to view content from the web on the TV and apart from this it will also include some great features like the ability to personalize your dashboard by pinning favorite web sites and watching HTML5 videos on the web.

At  E3 conference earlier this year the Xbox team demonstrated the capabilities of bringing the Web to TV on Xbox. With Windows 8 expected to release on October 26th Users will be able to use Xbox Smart Glass to easily navigate the web through features like text input, scrolling, pinch and zoom providing a seamless experience between your TV and Windows 8 tablet and Windows Phone.

I cannot wait for this update as i feel this was the only thing missing from an Xbox 360 console.Once this is rolled out it will look very close to being fully complete with all features!
