Google Play Store more popular than Apple's Appstore?

During the launch of iPod and iPhone Apple's appstore seemed to be a great place for the users to download or buy some great games utilities or other entertainment apps among many applications.

However a report released on Thursday by market tracker Distimo confirmed that the Google play store which is the hub of all the android applications is growing fast.

At around 20 largest countries the aggregate daily revenue for Google Play Store has topped to around 43 percent during the past four months while comparing to Appstore which is about 21 percent.

Speaking about the most number of downloads the report also confirmed that the game application "Draw Something" reached a million downloads in a span of just nine days,While the Asian publisher Naver launched five games in November that quickly became hits.

IDC(a research firm) has projected the android operating to remain dominant for the next four years and also boosted its forecast for global tablet sales for 2012 to 122.3 million, from 117.1 million, in large part due to the high demand for Android tablets.
